Evoplay Enters Ontario Market Via Rivalry Partnership

Through a new collaboration with Rivalry, the Toronto-based igaming operator, Evoplay is formally launching twenty titles from its portfolio of casino games into the Ontario market.

Well-liked Slot Games

In March 2025, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario granted an igaming license to Evoplay, a Limassol, Cyprus-based igaming development firm.

Players in Ontario will now have access to several of Evoplay's more well-known games, including Hot Triple Sevens, Hot Volcano, and The Greatest Catch Bonus Buy, thanks to the agreement.

International Expansion Plans

“Going live in Ontario is a fantastic achievement for us. Integrating our portfolio with Rivalry is an important step in our commercial trajectory, and we are excited to introduce our content to their customers,” said Alex Malchenko, Head of Sales at Evoplay, to iGB.

“We have high expectations on Ontario and this is the first step into this exciting and fast-moving market. We are confident that our diverse games offering will resonate with local players.”

Rivalry is a media and sports betting organization that provides the digital generation with regulated online gambling on esports, traditional sports, and casinos.  Despite having its headquarters in Toronto, the corporation has operations in 20 nations.

First-Mover Advantage

“Our goal is to deliver the most entertaining and differentiated casino experience in Ontario,” said Steven Salz, CEO at Rivalry. “Partnering with Evoplay allows us to introduce high-quality, innovative content that will resonate with our players and keep them coming back.

“We feel honoured to be the first operator to offer Evoplay’s titles in Ontario and look forward to a successful partnership.”

In addition to slots, Evoplay's portfolio also features table games, quick games, and classic games.

A Different Path for Competition

Going into 2025, rivalry is taking a different approach, implementing a new organizational structure, and finishing off a makeover of its brand, product, and marketing.

According to its financial figures for the first quarter of 2025, net revenue was CA$1.3 million, while operational expenses dropped 58% from the previous year to CA$4 million.  The net loss decreased from CA$5.2 million in Q1 2024 to CA$3 million, a 43% decrease.
