This weekend is the Reform Alliance's biennial Casino Night & Gala, so Atlantic City is the place to be.

The Weeknd will perform a complete set at the star-studded event, which is hosted by Jay-Z, a board member of the Reform Alliance, and his wife, Beyonce.  Kevin Hart, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, and Micah Parsons are among the other well-known attendees who are anticipated to be flown in by helicopter from New York City to Atlantic City.

The founder and CEO of Fanatics, a well-known mobile sportsbook today, Michael Rubin, is also scheduled to attend.  Rubin co-chairs the Reform Alliance alongside Meek Mill, a Philadelphia hip-hop musician whose incarceration in 2017 led to the formation of the Reform Alliance by a group of benefactors that included Mill, Rubin, and Jay-Z.

 

Gala at Atlantic City Casino

This Saturday, September 13, Ocean Casino Resort will host the 2025 Reform Alliance Casino Night & Gala once again in Atlantic City.  One of the most opulent and prosperous casino establishments in the town is Ocean, which is situated on the northern end of the Atlantic City Boardwalk.  Luxor Capital and Ilitch Companies are the resort's owners.

In order to establish genuine routes to employment and well-being, the Reform Alliance "seeks to transform probation and parole by altering laws, systems, and culture."  In 2023, the black-tie event brought in $24 million.

"Instead of tapping people in a revolving door between supervision and prison — a cycle that costs taxpayers billions — we’re working to move them from the justice system into stability,” the Reform Alliance mission states.

After Mill was accused of breaking the terms of his parole by participating in an altercation at the airport and riding a dirt bike on a roadway in New York City, he was sentenced to two to four years in jail.  After being freed in 2009, Mill frequently disregarded the terms of his parole after being found guilty in 2007 on drug and illegal firearm crimes.

Mill's imprisonment in 2017 sparked the #FreeMeekMill movement.  In April 2018, he was freed from a jail in Pennsylvania.  In 2023, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf (D) granted him a pardon.

A golf round with Tom Brady at Michael Jordan's ultra-exclusive private golf course in Florida, The Grove XXIII, is one of the items up for auction this Saturday at Ocean Casino Resort.  A rare Audemars Piguet watch and a private performance by Megan Thee Stallion are also up for grabs. 

 

$1 Million Blackjack Competition

The Reform Alliance Casino Night & Gala at Ocean Resort will also feature gambling.

There will be another high-stakes blackjack event with a $1 million first-place reward.  Andrew Goldberg, managing partner of Tao Group and the 2023 blackjack winner, gave $750K of his earnings to the judicial reform fund of Reform Alliance.

But the auction will be the big attraction.  Saturday's block features a painting by George Condo, just like the 2023 gala.

Brady and Kim Kardashian were involved in a bidding war over a Condo painting two years ago, which led to speculation that they were dating—or at least flirting.  After the bidding between Brady and Kardashian reached over $2 million, Condo, who was present, finally displayed a second painting.
